I am a sucker for things American Old West. I loved this capture of Bonnie McCarroll, a rodeo expert, getting bucked in Pendleton, OR.

**I debated about using this image. It has a tragic story behind it. Bonnie McCarroll was performing at the same location in a rodeo some years later. It was to be her last performance before retiring. She was sadly killed in an accident, thrown from and dragged by her horse. She passed away just a few days later from her injuries. I still felt a tribute to her prowess as a rodeo star was well-deserved, in addition to the terrific skills demonstrated by the photographer.
