Memories of Tucson

Doorway Tucson by parador

Tucson was an interesting city. We drove a couple of hours south of Phoenix one Saturday.  It was very manageable, traffic-wise. We first stopped at the western section of Saguaro National Park, then drove into the downtown from there.  Walking around the streets of the historic district and seeing so many cool home facades was a treat.  Of course, the warm, southern Arizona sunshine in January was welcome, as always.

We were able to eat at El Charro, a great Mexican restaurant with roots dating back to the 1920s.
