Scrapped Lately

I've been digging back into some Spain photos.

One of the most pleasant, unplanned stops was along the northern coast in the town of Ribadesella.  Such a nice boardwalk along the beach and water.  There was a great view of the Picos de Europa in the background (lower photo), and a pretty, protected harbor / riverfront with a beach.  While we were there, there was a marathon taking place, so we didn't walk down to the other end of the boardwalk.  I would definitely go back and spend several days here.

The most beautiful beach view was along the cliffs at As Catedrais.  I would love love to go back here in peak summer when I could swim and walk out to some of the rock formations at low tide.  While we were there, the tide was in, and the wind was a bit chilly for swimming.  When the sun came out from the clouds, the water color against the rocks and grass was delightful.

I always enjoy seeing municipal artworks.  This lovely statue, above, was along the beach boardwalk in Comillas in Cantabria. (credits: Angie Young Adventure Awaits YouCrafty Button Spooky Chic Paint CandyViVa Artistry Messo Gesso OverlaysDawn Inskip Hot Mess)
