Scrapped Lately

So, this past weekend, I finally got a chance to start scrapping a few more pages from Spain.  The above layout is my entry for the white space challenge (irony being it's almost all black... haha).  The photo is one my husband took of me just inside a cave at As Catedrais Beach in Galicia.  We visited this beach on our last trip to Spain, but couldn't go down at water level because of the tides.

This time, we were able to go (after having to sign a waiver!).  It was really a great experience to wander a beach like this.

Below is a page featuring the cathedral and chapel at Covadonga.  The chapel is built into the side of a cliff, and sits above a pretty pool of water.  It's access either from stairs up, or through a tunnel in the mountain.  Pretty cool!

I was really happy to get mentioned on the GSO blog for Cudillero, below.  Truly one of the most scenic towns we visited, Cudillero was so nice to stroll around, up the hillside, and have terrific views over the rooftops and of the harbor.  Love how this page turned out; lots of recoloring to the papers and piecing multiple photo masks together.

This page, below, is also for a challenge with the prompt, "looking down."  I took these photos one morning in Galicia, and created the collage on my phone.  This was at the little Air BnB cottage we stayed.  So cute!

Finally, a page about our trip to Urbasa Natural Park.  I could have lingered here for much longer.  And, in cooler weather, hiked a lot.  It's known for its rock formations.  You can kind of see some of that in the rock we picked up and photographed.  Also, there are giant hillside cliffs and a large, grassy plateau that overlooks Baquedano and the valley below.
