Don't you just love the feel of victory in the sculpture above? This artwork is on the Sella River in the town of Ribadesella in northern Spain. We've been there twice, and I'd happily go back another time! Especially in summer to kayak down the river or paddle board in the bay.
It seems I am fond of taking photos of artwork, as they are popping up a lot lately in my own pieces. This photo, above, is of a statue along the river just outside of Monforte de Lemos, Galicia. It sits high on a perch at the dramatic Canón do Sil, amidst the vineyards along the Sil River. It is where Ribeira Sacra wines are grown. So beautiful!
