Creating this was something I'd anticipated since walking through the rooms at
Château de Beynac. I wandered the castle, taking in room after room, looking at the variety of fireplaces and longing to add some digital fire to them and creating some fictional imagery from my captures. I started with one of my photos, then filled the room with a cast of characters. I ran several filters on the photo and blended them together, also using some of Teddi Rutschman's beautiful textured backgrounds to warm it up. All done in Pixelmator on OS X.
